Buddy is dominating. Clyde is a distant second. Barley and Hops are trailing the pack. But there's still plenty of time to name that foal.
The foal in this case is Budweiser's newest Clydesdale. Born on Jan. 16, the young horse is the star of Bud's latest Super Bowl spot, set to air Sunday night during the clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
Budweiser has turned to Twitter to crowdsource the name for the newly born horse. According to the New York-based social polling startup Poptip, so far, there have been about 11,000 tweets and 1,000-plus votes (check out the live results here and below). As of noon on Sunday, "Buddy" had received roughly 50 percent of the votes. "Clyde" was coming in second with about 14 percent of the suggestions. "Barley," "Hops" and "Musial" filled out the top five, respectively.
Other notable suggestions bubbling up on Twitter include "Elmer," "Hashtag" and "Ms. Harbaugh."
